What is domain back order?

Domain Backorder is a service that helps you attempt to acquire a domain name when it becomes available for registration to the general public. Placing a backorder does not guarantee that you will acquire the domain name. The current registrant might renew the domain name, or we might be unsuccessful in our attempt to register it for you.

Many variables affect the Domain Backorder process. For instance, we might have to participate in an auction to win your backorder domain name, and the auction might be public or private. This process is in place to provide each customer an equal opportunity to acquire domain names.

Can’t I just buy the domain now?
You are more than welcome to contact the domain owner themselves to see if they are interested in selling the domain name they own, but Spark Rack will never transfer a customers domain without written permission from them stating it has been sold. For more information on how to sell your domain, or purchase a domain from an existing customer, please contact Customer Care.

Please note the below statement regarding customer information.

For your and customer security, Spark Rack does not list our customers domain names, or any information on those interested in buying expiring domain names. If you want information on expiring domains we have on our network, please contact Customer Care.

Please note: In a continued effort to improve customer security, Spark Rack will not provide contact information for domain owners to any party who is not listed as a contact on the hosting account.

Prespective backordered domains will only be provided with information on the domain name, not the owner, or original purpose of the website.
