In December 2015, PHP version 7.0 was released as the newest stable version of the popular programming language. We have been beta testing our services with this new language over the past few months and have decided to move forward with it’s integration in our next major roll-out plan.
So what does this mean for our customers? We will be upgrading all of our servers to run on PHP 7 at the end of June 2016. This will give you more than enough time to ensure your website, programming, or CMS portal are capable of using this new programming language. If it is not, it is recommended that you update it to it’s most recent stable release that supports PHP 7. If that is not possible, it is highly recommended that you contact our Support Center immediately, so that this upgrade can be delayed if needed.
Once the upgrade has been made, we will add new documentation to our knowledgebase for changes, depreciation and new features added to PHP 7.
