We’ve been asked by numerous customers if we have plans to integrate new control panels in the coming year (2017), and the short answer is yes.
While we’re still working to phase out our Plesk hosting services (discontinued in September of 2016), we’re left with one question… How will we provide hosting services to customers who prefer a Windows based server? At first, it seemed like we only had one choice, to find an expensive panel and resell the hosting at a higher than normal cost.
However we’ve discovered a few new panels that will allow us to keep our Windows hosting prices low (as you’ve come to expect from Spark Rack), and still deliver exceptional quality services to our customers.
At this time we’ve found two. MSPControl (formerly WebsitePanel), and SolidCP. We will outline them below.
MSPControl is a complete portal for Cloud Computing Companies and IT Providers to automate the provisioning of a full suite of services on Windows servers. The powerful MSPControl platform gives users simple multi-tenant point-and-click control over Windows Server applications including Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft RemoteApp, Skype for Business, Microsoft Online Services and Hyper-V R2 Deployments.
MSPControl passed Microsoft validation procedure and exists in list of Exchange 2013/2016 hosting and multi-tenancy solutions.
SolidCP is launched in 2016 as a new fork of WebsitePanel. Our aim is to create a controlpanel who is running stable (solid) and to combine windows and linux servers in one controlpanel. The linux part will be on our roadmap, which will be published soon. Our first goal was to release a version which is running bug free, because sadly enough this was in many cases not the case with Websitepanel. SolidCP is a joint effort from Marco Tiggelaar and Michel Jansen. When you want to contribute to SolidCP, please contact us.
We will post a follow up blog when we decide which panel will be added to our network. For a limited time (during a beta test) we may actually offer both to see which is more popular. But again we will post more once more information becomes available.
